Gardai and Revenue officers have seized over €133,000 worth of herbal cannabis in a drugs bust in Blanchardstown.
The intelligence led operation last Friday was part of a number of ongoing investigations targeting people suspected to be involved in organised crime in the Blanchardstown area.
During the search, 6.68 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of €133,600 was recovered.
One man aged in his 20s and a woman aged in her 40s were arrested during the operation.
Gardai have since charged the man and woman who are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on June 27 at 10.30am.
A Garda spokesperson said: “The operation resulted in the search of a premises in the Blanchardstown area. During the course of this operation 6.68 Kgs herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €133,600 (One hundred and thirty three thousand and six hundred euro) was seized. The seized drugs will be forwarded for analysis.”
