Lucan Educate Together national school has been working on an art project with the theme of resilience to mark the challenges of the pandemic, writes Rachel Cunningham.
The school has painted a tree with roots and branches on one of its outside walls to represent the difficult time that the community has been through.
Teachers, school staff, parents and grandparents are invited to place rocks among the roots of the tree, symbolising the nurturing support they have provided to the students and the school community. The school will welcome the community on Friday at 1pm to see the project.
