An Afternoon Tea fundraiser in support of Ukraine was hosted in Rush Sailing Club on bank holiday Monday, May 2, writes Rose Barrett.
Hosted in co-operation with the Ukrainian Crisis Centre Ireland, a day of festivities was hosted with children getting to play together. They enjoyed face painting, balloon play while adults were free to chat and forget their worries, if only for a few hours.
A great day was had by over 100 people, with the lovely setting of Rush Sailing Club overlooking Rogerstown Estuary. The Ukrainian Centre were very appreciative of the skilled organisation by

Any cash raised was used to purchase tinned products as requested by Ukrainian Crisis Centre. Special thanks to Armstrong’s Bakery for bread and cake donations on the day, and to Musgrave’s Cash & Carry for providing all tinned produce at cost for the appeal. The produce will now be transported to the Ukraine to those who need it most.
