X-FACTOR star and international pop sensation Ollie Murs was on hand on the sidelines as Baldoyle United’s Over-35s celebrated with the Jim Byrne Cup last weekend.
Murs, whose tour manager Mark Murphy hails from the north Dublin area, had enlisted celebrity support in the form of Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville in recent weeks for the team, and Baldoyle lived up to their billing with goals from Geraghty, Kirwan and Kennedy seeing Deco Feeney’s side home to a 3-1 decider win over Meath side Ashbourne.
Elsewhere, St Mochta’s maintained their push for the LSL Senior Sunday title with a 2-1 win away to champions Crumlin.
