Easter is just around the corner, and Aldi have lots of great offers this Easter in their meat department look out for their Turkey Crown 1.8-2kg for €21.99.

If you prefer more traditional fare, then enjoy a taste of Spring with ALDI’s Butcher’s Selection Irish Full Lamb Leg (2.0-2.6kg) €8.99/kg. 100% Irish Bord Bia Quality Assured, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!  They also have a couple of stunning wines that will perfectly match either dish.

2021 Aldi Specially Selected Limestone Coast Chardonnay €7.99

Limestone Coast zone is in the South Australia. It extends from Cape Willoughby at the east end and it is bounded by the border with Victoria. This wine is made from grapes grown in Padthaway, with its Mediterranean climate, cool nights, and limestone. Australian Chardonnay is making a comeback, this one is a fine example of an unoaked style.  Chardonnay with lime zest and red apple fruits. Nicely textured with a dry finish, this is the perfect white wine match with roast turkey and all the trimmings.

2017 Animus Douro €7.99

This is one of my favourite red wines from the Aldi wine range.  Made from a blend of Portuguese grapes that include 40% Touriga Franca, 30% Tinta Roriz and 30% Touriga Nacional.  A Bronze medal winner at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards. This award-winning wine offers unbelievable value, beautifully made it has a lovely ripe spicy nose.  On the palate look out for lots of plum fruit and a good firm tannin which adds beautiful structure to this wine.  This will be perfect with roast spring lamb topped with garlic and rosemary and served with roast potato and green vegetables.  The perfect red to go with your Easter Sunday lunch.
