Trinity College Dublin encouraged its students to bring their own face masks to lectures, classes and libraries, as cases of Covid-19 and influenza continue to rise.
Last Friday, January 20, the university circulated an advisory email to students, asking them to consider the “medically vulnerable” of the college in advance of the return of undergraduates to campus this week.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Medical Director at the College Health Service David McGrath explained that such precautions are being advised as social distancing is no longer being practised in lecture halls.
