Road Safety Authority figures released to a Dublin South West TD have revealed that thousands are currently waiting for their driving tests.

At the end of November, Tallaght’s driving test centre had over 14,000 people waiting to sit their test, increasing from almost 10,500 in July. The Dun Laoghaire/ Deansgrange centre had over 7,00 people on the waiting list.

Dublin South West TD Sean Crowe called for the opening of an additional south Dublin driving centre to assist with the backlog.
