Tallaght Community First Responders were proud to launch another Public Access Defibrillator today after a donation from local business AF Construction.
Tallaght CFR, set up in January 2023 by Paramedics Craig Wade, Adam Matthews and Graham Ball respond to life threatening emergencies in the Tallaght area in the few minutes prior to the arrival of an Emergency Ambulance.
The director of AF Construction, Andrew Flaherty said he was happy to make the donation for such an important cause after being contacted by Tallaght CFR.
The new life saving resource is located on the outside of St Martin de Porres primary school in Aylesbury and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to anyone who may need it.

As all three founders are paramedics, they understand the difference minutes can make in life threatening emergencies. Having CFRs who volunteer their time in their communities helps strengthen the chain of survival for a patient.
In March alone Tallaght CFR volunteers say they responded to 20 life threatening emergencies in the Tallaght area including eight Cardiac Arrests, eight Chest Pain or Heart Problems and cases of both choking and stroke.
