“As part of their Environment Award, the Tonnta CSA cubs have teamed up with Malahide Lions Club to collect used eyeglasses. The used spectacles will be upcycled and distributed in developing countries around the world.” said a spokesperson for the cubs.
“Prescription or magnifying eyeglasses in any condition will be gladly accepted – 1 lense, broken posts, perfect, etc – just no sunglasses or cases please. You can pop your donations into the box in the foyer in the Den.
“Our CSAs would also love to hear some of the stories behind the donations so have left tags beside the box that donators can attach to eyeglasses if they wish.
