An eight month old cockapoo from Drumcondra has taken the lead to become Dublin’s Puppy of the Year for 2019.
Oscar is an eight month old Cockapoo from Drumcondra. He is very playful and intelligent.
Oscar is a fast learner and already knows lots of tricks. He can play dead, jump through hoops, roll over, beg and even jump over hurdles. He loves challenges like hide and seek.
He was crowned the winner at a grand final event in Limerick, held by pet retailer Petmania, after two months of public voting and over 66,000 votes.

Oscar beat out four other puppies to take home the pawesome title, including Bo Nua the Shorkie, Tiggi the Cockapoo, Bella Bear the Chow Chow and Butch the American Bulldog.
Emily Miller, Petmania’s Marketing Manager, says “We are delighted to crown Oscar as this year’s Dublin Puppy of the Year, a deserving winner oozing with cuteness.
“This is our fifth year running the Puppy of the Year competition, entries and votes are growing hugely year on year. A massive thank you to everyone who got involved.”
