Gardaí seized approximately €240,000 of suspected drugs and arrested two men during searches on Wednesday last in Dublin, with a further €75,000 worth of cocaine seized in Co Wicklow yesterday, both conducted as part of Operation Tara.
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit at Finglas Garda Station, along with regular uniform units and the Garda Dog Unit conducted a search of a premises in Blanchardstown during Wednesday afternoon. Over the course of this search, approximately €240,000 of suspected cannabis was seized along with €2,600 in cash. All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Gardaí attached to the Bray Drugs Unit, along with Wicklow detective and uniform members, conducted a search at a property on Thursday morning. Over the course of this search, cocaine was seized, along with two replica firearms, and drugs paraphernalia.
The suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
One male (in his 30’s) was arrested, and has since been charged and appeared earlier yesterday before Bray District Court, where he was remanded in custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
