The local development company, ‘South Dublin County Partnership’, is actively seeking suitably qualified applicants for part-time tutor positions in non-accredited children and family programmes in South West Dublin, writes Rachel Cunningham.
The tutor roles range from a primary school homework club, based in the Balgaddy Child & Family Centre and yoga, gymnastics and KICK (Kickboxing to Inspire & Challenge Kids) tutors, in various venues across Tallaght & Clondalkin for young people aged six to 17 years old.
Activities typically run during after-school hours for one to three hours per week during the school term. All equipment is provided and there will be additional training for tutors in the KICK (Kickboxing to Inspire & Challenge Kids) project.
Tutors appointed will have a good knowledge and understanding of the ethos of childhood, adult, youth and community education and will be required to plan, develop, deliver and assess programmes that are responsive to the needs and interests of children and young people.
Applications are especially welcome from individuals who are experience in working with groups and community representatives from marginalised backgrounds.
Email your application to [email protected] with the subject box to be marked: ‘Children and Families Ref. 48 / 2022’. The closing date for receipt of applications is February 11.
