Ballyboughal Tidy Towns is a not for profit voluntary community group which aims to enhance the village and make it a more environmentally friendly place to live, writes Rose Barrett.

“We have increased our planting programme, added new perennial borders, beds and containers, enhanced biodiversity, and aim to provide more habitats for wildlife,” stated Caitriona Hoey of the local TTs group. “Funding goes to shrubs, trees, bedding, fertiliser, fuel, equipment service and maintenance, topsoil, bark, paint, tools and lots more.”

As such, Caitriona has launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe with a target of €3,000 to reach. So far, the group have achieved over €1,250. All donations gratefully received, no matter how small or large, donations please to https://www.gofundme.com/f/ballyboughal-tidy-towns-2022
