The National Transport Authority (NTA), in partnership with Go-Ahead Ireland, is enhancing bus services on two routes between Dublin and Rathangan in Co. Kildare from Sunday 19th of November.
The timetable for Routes 120 and 126 will be improved to increase the frequency of services and improve capacity. Forty six additional trips are planned Monday to Sunday on Route 126 from Dublin to Rathangan in Co. Kildare as part of the enhancement.
Six additional coaches will operate on the route and a new bus stop is being introduced at Killeenlea near Celbridge. The 7.12am service from Kill to Newbridge will now be extended to Kildare.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Managing Director of Go-Ahead Ireland Dervla McKay said “The enhancements made to Routes 120 and 126 will increase capacity and improve punctuality on two of Go-Ahead Ireland’s busy Dublin Commuter Routes.
“Additional coaches will also be going into service, expanding Go-Ahead Ireland’s capability to deliver passengers to their destinations in their local communities and in the Greater Dublin Area.”
The improvement of Route 126 is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.
