A man has been arrested following the seizure of approximately €80,000 in Terenure yesterday.
The arrest was made following the search of a residence in the locality on Wednesday night, with around 4kg of cannabis herb seized in the operation.
A statement from Gardai said: “At approximately 10.15pm, Gardaí from the Terenure District Drugs Unit carried out a search in the Terenure area. The search was conducted as part of an operation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Terenure and Rathmines area.
“4kg of Cannabis Herb, valued at an estimated €80,000 (pending analysis) was discovered at the location and a 25 year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards.
He is currently detained at Terenure Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.”
Investigations are ongoing.
