After the blistering heat of recent days, today will see the temperatures dip today in Dublin to a moderate 20-24 degrees at the highest.
Met Eireann predicts it will be humid today with warm sunny spells and, after days of uninterrupted glorious sunshine, there will be a return to scattered slow-moving heavy showers. Thunderstorms will bring a risk of localised spot flooding. with light variable winds and coastal fog in places.

Tonight will be mainly dry and temperatures wil dip to 13-15 degrees in light westerly winds. However, the pollen forecast for today and tomorrow is to be high with a moderate warning for Solar UV impact. So please whether it’s dull or foggy, lash on the sun factor, especially for young children, if you’re very fair skinned and for the elderly.
Tomorrow, after a dry start, rain will spread slowly southeastwards and will be notably cooler with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in light northwesterly or variable breezes.
So, get out there and enjoy the sunshine while you can! The only bonus with a return to the rain, is that the plants will be watered…..
