Loving Local: “People Helping People” at South Dublin Credit Union

South Dublin Credit Union is a strong and vibrant community Credit Union and prides itself on being an integral part of the local community, providing sponsorship to a wide range of local community groups, sports clubs, drama clubs, active retirement groups and lots of local events, groups and charities.

It operates a schools credit union in three local primary schools and also offers “Clued-In” – a programme created to help second level students understand personal finances – to local secondary schools.

“We are committed to ensuring that the young people in the community are educated about personal finance. Through our schools programmes, we are also doing our part to ensure that the “People Helping People” Credit Union philosophy, is promoted and sustained amongst the younger generation,” explains Caitriona Kelly Puca, Deputy Manager.

South Dublin Credit Union has two offices and over 12,000 members, who are the number one priority for Management, Staff and the Board of Directors at South Dublin Credit Union. “Members can always expect a warm welcome and professional customer service when they visit our Stillorgan and Donnybrook offices” explains Caitriona. “Our number one priority, is listening to our members and helping them”.

Glenalbyn House is home to The Village Cafe, which is situated on the grounds of the proud Dublin GAA Club Kilmacud Crokes. Currently open every Saturday, from 10.00am – 2.00 pm, the Village Café is a great spot for a Saturday morning take away cup of tea and a freshly baked treat. With its great views of the sporting grounds, excellent space and very friendly staff. It’s a go to spot for locals and visitors alike, on a relaxing or busy Saturday morning! Black Raven Credit Union – Supporting The People Who Help Your Local Community

At Blackraven Credit Union, our members are the employees and retired employees of Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils. We are the Credit Union who provide savings, loans and services to your local authority employees. Although a relatively small Credit Union, we believe we make a real difference in the lives of our members and our reach stretches across every part of Co. Dublin.

At Black Raven we have over 40 volunteers who give their time, expertise and skills to the organisation and form our valued committees. Volunteers who are proud members of Black Raven and showcase their positive spirit and energy in everything they do, to manage and sustain our Credit Union.

At Black Raven we are very proud to be celebrating 40 years this year supporting our members, who are in the frontline every day and we have worked hard during Covid 19 to adapt our business model and up skill our staff and systems, to offer our members more services on-line.
