Diverse range of courses available at SCFE

Sallynoggin College of Further Education, SCFE, which requires no CAO points, offers a diverse range of Certificate and Diploma level courses for school leavers, mature students, international students and those wishing to retrain or upskill.

Students of the Dún Laoghaire-based college of further education can avail of exemptions of €250 for holders of a medical card and €200 for SUSI grant recipients, with funding also available for social welfare recipients through VTOS and the BTEA scheme.

Over the past year, SCFE has adopted a blended approach to learning, with a mixture of in-house and online classes for all courses. The courses have been developed in liaison with industry and higher education institutes, are of one or two-year duration and are accredited by QQI at levels 5 and 6 and ITEC.

The one-year Yoga or Pilates Teacher Training Diploma encompass practical holistic studies such as reflexology, massage and Indian head massage, enabling the student practitioner to develop the personal qualities, knowledge, confidence and skills to progress and pursue a career as a yoga or pilates teacher and a complementary therapist.

SCFE also offers a one-year Personal Training Diploma, with the option of specialising in strength and conditioning or sports rehabilitation, including sports massage and physiotherapy.

All courses commence end of September 2021 until May 2022 and applications will close on September 30.
