Last week saw the Fingal Dublin Rotary Club welcome Bill Kee who took the chains of office from past president, David Normoyle, at a special dinner at the Maldron Hotel.
Well known Bill, a native of Lusk and now resident of Skerries, said he was honoured to be elected to the position by his peers in the club. His second time to hold this position, Bill has been a member of the club for 30 years and was first elected as president back in 2001. He is the first member of the club to hold the presidency twice.
Bill and his wife Cora are active members of their community with Bill being a member of Skerries Bowling Club. He is also a former chairman of the bowling club. Bill’s wife, Cora is a past lady captain of Beaverstown Golf Club. Members of the Fingal Dublin Rotary Club are predominately local business people from the Fingal area. Their businesses range from small and medium sized organisations with many being self- employed individuals, or employees of larger businesses.
