Rathfarnham’s Ballyroan library is to host a creative LEGO® for children aged four and over, writes Rachel Cunningham.

Entrants are asked to use their imagination and build a piece based on this year’s theme, which is ‘Go Wild!’

Participants can use their own LEGO® bricks or other compatible plastic bricks to build an original creation at home that must fit within a space of 40cm x 40cm and be no taller than 40cm. Only one creation per person or team will be accepted and team projects will be placed in the category of the oldest member.

The library has advised that judging criteria will be based on buildingx skill, with age of entrants taken into consideration, creativity and originality, how well the creation interprets the theme and presentation.

Those who wish to enter can take their original build to Ballyroan library between Monday 6th and Wednesday 8th September. Entries will be displayed until Thursday 9th September, when the announcement of the winners will be made via Facebook.

The prizes will be awarded in three categories, for entrants aged between four and seven, eight and 10 and 11and 15.
