Watch Denis Stone convince Norway’s Got Talent judge Bjarne Brøndbo to participate in a magic trick during his showstopping audition.
Denis Stone grew up in Rathcoole, West Dublin. He fell in love with magic when he saw a magician for the first time in Tipperary at seven-years-old. A family friend encouraged his interest in magic as a child. As an adult he has worked professionally in the industry for many years.
He relocated to Norway in December 2016 for family reasons and continued to pursue opportunities there. Talent scouts in Scandinavia encouraged him to audition for the Got Talent franchise, leading him to Norway’s Got Talent.
When Stone auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent with a card trick he received an impressive 4 yes votes from the judges – unanimous support.
Since his audition, the 36-year-old has made it to the quarter finals of the the competition.
He performs for corporate gatherings, weddings and private parties. Some of his past celebrity clients have included Bono of U2, Cheryl Cole and Victoria and David Beckham.
He currently lives in Dublin but continues to travel to Norway for work. According to his website, “Denis Stone is a magician, mind-reader and illusionist… [He] performs mind-blowing magic and illusions delivered in a relaxed and humorous way. He has developed a unique style of psychological magic.”
Stone takes his act worldwide and is still available for work in Dublin.
Despite his international journey, he hasn’t forgotten his Dublin roots. He says his community has been very supportive, reaching out to wish him well during his journey and following his career.
