Post Malone at RDS: Promoters release important info ahead of the gig

Ahead of Post Malone’s gig in the RDS this Thursday, MCD have released important information for those heading along to see the ‘Rockstar’ rapper.

Doors for the concert will open at 6pm, with the first act, Saint JHN, taking to the stage at approximately 6:30pm. Next on stage will be Tyla Yahweh at 7:45pm, before the ‘Goodbyes’ performer himself, Post Malone, takes to the stage at 8:45pm.

Queuing early for the show will not be allowed, with MCD reminding concert-goers that no queuing will be allowed ahead of the gates opening at 6pm, and anyone that does turn up ahead of doors opening will be turned away.

Information for under 16’s

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18, and under 14s will not be allowed on the pitch at the gig.

There will be strict monitoring in place at all entrances and throughout the venue, and the promoters will operate a Zero Tolerance policy and reserve the right to refuse admission without a refund to anyone who does not comply with the event age policies. 

Promoters have also said that any adult who accompanies a child under 16 years old will be asked to sign an agreement that they will be responsible for the wellbeing and safety of the child and be responsible for them for the duration of the event. Any one adult may only sign in four minors.

Alcohol Policy

MCD have said there will be strict monitoring in place at all entrances and throughout the venue, and that they reserve the right to refuse admission or remove anyone from the venue without a refund who is perceived to be intoxicated and or engaging in anti-social behaviour. Individuals will also be responsible for producing valid ID where necessary.

Approach Routes

As the RDS is in a residential area, promoters have reminded concert goers to be considerate of those in the locality, particularly in regard to rubbish and parking and anti-social behaviour.

Those with tickets in the Anglesea Stand in Blocks C-E, the Grandstand in Blocks F-J and in the Gold Circle are asked to enter via Simmonscourt Road on the ‘Red Route’.

Anyone with Pitch tickets or accessible tickets are to enter via the Yellow Route on Merrion Road.

Those with Pitch tickets are also permitted to enter via the Blue Route on Anglesea Road, as are those with tickets from Blocks A-C in the Anglesea Stand, ticket holders in Grandstand Blocks K-N.

Search policy

Searching will be a condition of entry to get to see Post Malone, with strict security checks in operation. Concertgoers are warned allow sufficient time to get into the venue, an that no alcohol will be permitted into the venue. A4 size bags or smaller only will be permitted, and no cloakroom service will be available at the RDS.

Anyone heading to the gig is asked to plan and organise transport in advance, with promoters encouraging all fans to walk, bike, or use public transportation to get to the show.
