Gardaí seized €250,000 of suspected cannabis herb along with a sum of cash when they stopped a vehicle on the M50 as part of Operation Tara in Finglas, Dublin 11 on Saturday morning 4th November, 2023.
The stop and search operation was conducted by Gardaí attached to the K District Drug Unit.
During the course of the search, approximately €250,000 of suspected cannabis herb along with €6,000 of cash was seized by Gardaí. The drugs will now undergo analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
One man aged in his early 40s was arrested at the scene and he is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in North Dublin.

Gardaí attached to the Tallaght District Drugs Unit conducted a search at a residential property in Tallaght on Saturday afternoon, 4th November 2023.
During the course of the search, cocaine and heroin, with a street value of over €130,000, was seized along with drug paraphernalia.
All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested during the search and detained. He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
