“The Beat Of Your Heart” charity fundraiser was held in memory of baby Mila who passed away after a short but special life. Held as part of the Stephen Leeson Show the event was broadcasted live from the Scientology Community Centre in Dublin to a worldwide viewing.

Mila had developed physical problems already during the pregnancy and had little chances to survive birth. But she fought to take her first breath and to hold the hands of her parents.

“Nothing prepares parents to deal with that.” said Colleen and Thomas Goulding, Mila’s parents who shared their story with the audience on Saturday night. “We tried to keep it together as best as we could, for each other and for the kids as well. But it was tough.”

Mila’s courage and unbreakable spirit inspired her father Thomas Goulding to write a poem for her to begin with, then a song and another one. And he just kept writing ever since.
