Award-winning museum 14 Henrietta Street are launching a brand new walking tour called the ‘Georgian Dublin Walking Tour: Henrietta Street and Beyond’, writes Amy Rohu.
The tour, priced at €8/€6 concession, currently runs on Wednesday to Sunday at 11.30am and can be booked online at 14henriettastreet.ie.
Led by the museum’s guides, the tour takes visitors on a journey through Georgian Dublin. Taking visitors to some of Dublin’s most elite addresses and grand Georgian squares, the tour will explore the architectural and social history of the city, and reveal the details of the lives lived behind the elegant red brick facades.
Commenting, CEO of Dublin City Council Culture Company, Iseult Byrne said: “This is the first walking tour for the museum and we hope to introduce others in the future that will further expand on the stories and history of the house, the people who worked and lived there and the role it played in the development of our city”.
