Ireland’s largest indoor Christmas Festival will come to Dublin’s historic Fruit & Veg market this December.
Mistletown, promoted by RAW Marketing in association with Dublin City Council, is a free public event and will offer the full festive experience in one of the city’s most iconic buildings, located near Capel Street. The event will strictly adhere to public health guidance for Covid-19, which is being actively monitored.
Mistletown will have something for all the family and is suitable for all age groups. The halls of the Fruit and Veg market will be lined with traditional food stalls with Christmas favourites on offer. There will also be a Christmas Craft Village, with over seventy stalls selling gifts and crafts that will be perfect for Christmas gifts.
Santa Claus will also pay a visit to the event, while artists and performers take to the main stage to keep Mistletown visitors entertained. The Vintage Funfair, located outside the main entrance will feature a Vintage Carousel which dates back to the 1890’s, and other classic amusements.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Councillor Hazel Chu said: “Mistletown is a fantastic initiative, and presents an opportunity for attendees to enjoy a festive event in a safe and socially distant manner.
“The festival will have something to offer for people of all ages and tastes and I look forward to seeing it take shape in Dublin’s iconic Fruit and Veg Market.
“I would like to thank all involved for all of the work and planning which has gone into ensuring that Mistletown will proceed while adhering to public health guidance.”
Susie Melisson, Director at Artisan Events said: “Mistletown is the shining star on top of Dublin’s Christmas Tree; a place where everyone can come for some festive cheer. The past few months have been incredibly tough, and we all need something to look forward to as we approach this Winter period.
“Never before has there been such an emphasis on socialising in a safe manner, and we have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past few months to ensure Mistletown can be run safely, with additional measures in place in line with the government guidelines.”
