Taoiseach Micheál Martin addressed the nation at 6pm and confirmed the lifting of nearly all restrictions from Saturday 22nd January at 6am.
Mr Martin reported that Ireland has weathered the Omicron storm, “Therefore, from 6am tomorrow morning, the majority of public health measures will be removed.”

Re-opening of Nightclubs with table service been no longer necessary

No number limit on events – (Sport, Wedding, Events)
No number restrictions to household guests
No Charges to international Travel Rules (Covid Passes still required)
