Gardai arrested a male in his 20’s on board the 3:20pm train from Dublin to Belfast yesterday, after the man was reported to have a loaded gun.
The man is currently being detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
A woman in her 20’s was later arrested at Dublin Airport during follow up searches.
She is also detained a under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Store Street Station.
These incidents are part of ongoing investigations into organised crime members.
A garda spokesperson said: “The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.”
