Lucan Festival is returning this September, 5-11, with a range of historical events, reunions and fireworks, writes Rachel Cunningham.
Over the course of the week, attendees will be able to join in guided tours of the village, attend lectures, meet primary school children of bygone years and enjoy a family fun day.
By permission of the newly arrived Italian Ambassador Mr Ruggero Corrias the grounds of Lucan House will be opened from 1pm to 5 pm on Saturday, September 10.
