[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Seven Dublin based charities and community organisations have been shortlisted for this year’s Coca-Cola Thank You Fund.

The seven groups include BeLong To, Blossom Ireland Community Inclusion, Children’s Books Ireland, Clay Youth Project, Dublin North West Area Partnership, First Fortnight and Global Action Plan. In total, 20 groups across Ireland were shortlisted.

The public are also being urged now to put forward their pick from the shortlisted groups in the brand-new People’s Choice Award 2018.

The groups have been selected for their ideas on bridging the divide between education and the workplace, fostering diversity and inclusion in communities, empowering young people to become the leaders of the future, and welcoming innovative approaches to sustainability.

The candidates will now pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a share of the €100,000 Fund. Groups will receive a grant of €30,000, €10,000 or €5,000, with the winners to be announced at Zeminar in the RDS on November 13th.

Petre Șandru, Country Manager, Coca-Cola Ireland said: “For the past few years the Fund has put a particular focus on supporting initiatives aimed at young people.

“We’re are once again rewarding projects which have the potential to inspire young people and equip them with a range of skills they will use throughout their lives and careers. I wish all of the shortlisted groups the best of luck throughout this exciting phase.”

Sabina Cotter, Head of Grants and Programmes, Irish Youth Foundation said: “We reviewed more than 200 applications this year and while it was great to see so many quality applications it also meant that we had some tough decisions to make.

“The projects shortlisted have responded to the Fund’s themes in a variety of creative ways. All are innovative and engaging and have at their core a commitment to setting up young people for positive futures.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
