Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation CEO Deirdre Walsh and members of the charity’s nursing team, marking a significant milestone as the Irish charity announces it has supported 3,000 families.

With its vital in-home nursing and respite care service, it has been a huge support to families since it was set up by its pioneering founders, Jonathan Irwin and Mary Ann O’Brien, 27 years ago in 1997.

The magnitude of this landmark moment is amplified by the recent loss of Jonathan in December 2023, as the charity vows to carry on Jonathan’s remarkable legacy and to continue supporting families with vital in-home nursing and respite care.

Jack & Jill is a nationwide charity providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of 6 with severe to profound cognitive delay. This may include children with brain injury, genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy, and undiagnosed conditions.
