Iarnród Éireann is calling on anyone who enjoys practical work with their hands and would like to earn their academic qualification while working in a globally recognised industry to consider its apprenticeship programme, writes Rachel Cunningham.
The apprenticeships spans three trades, including programmes in becoming a heavy vehicle mechanic, a fitter and an electrician.
The programme has provided an apprenticeship preview quiz on the Iarnród Éireann website, for potential apprentices to see whether the course would suit them.
Applications are limited and will close on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Placements will commence in Autumn 2022 and applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before August 1, 2021.
