The new Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Heritage Plan was launched last week by An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Lettie McCarthy and Chief Executive, Frank Curran, writes Amy Rohu.

The plan will steer the heritage work of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the next five years. It focuses on the interaction of people and place through time, sets out to care for what we want to hand on to the next generation and inspire connections with local heritage. The plan provides a framework for collaboration with partners and the support of community heritage activity.

Speaking at the launch, An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Lettie McCarthy said: “I am really excited to see the publication of this County Heritage Plan and thank all who took part in the co-creation of the document. In particular, I would like to thank Deirdre Black, the County Heritage Officer for all her hard work in bringing this document together. I would invite anyone to get involved in the actions set out here, and welcome you to share your heritage insights with us as we implement this plan together over the coming years”.
