Philly McMahon, Footballer with Ballymun Kickhams and former Dublin player, Kate Kilcommins, Camogie player and UCD Brian Mullins/GPA Scholarship Recipient, Marie Crowe sports journalist and broadcaster with RTÉ Sport, and Ger Brennan, Senior Manager, Engagement and Internal Communications, Culture, and Engagement at UCD Human Resources, were at the inaugural Brian Mullins Healthy UCD Memorial Lecture, writes Alex Greaney.
The lecture was given by former Dublin GAA Manager, Jim Galvin on the topic of sport and wellbeing. The annual lecture will address topics that Brian advocated for throughout this career, namely participation in sport and establishing long-term healthy habits that promote wellbeing. In his last role in UCD, Brian was Director of Health Promotion prior to his untimely death in September 2022.
