AN BORD Pleanala has granted planning permission to the HSE for a primary care centre on Boot Road.
The decision came just before Christmas. The  conditions on the permission will see part of the nursing home aspect of the plan reduced, and the building of four storeys instead of the original five.
Local Labour TD Robert Dowds said that although there were some things in the decision to be pleased with, he still has concerns.
“While I am happy that An Bord Pleanala has acted on the concerns raised by residents by directing the developers to reduce the size of the building to be constructed, I am still of the view that there are issues with that particular site,” he said.
