Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man (40s) dies in fatal crash in Skerries

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fatal car crash in Skerries at the weekend.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of the single car collision on the Skerries Road in Milverton in North County Dublin just after 12pm on Sunday afternoon.

The driver, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The road was temporarily closed as garda forensic collision investigators examined the crash site but has since reopened.

Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who was driving on the Skerries to Lusk Road between 11.45am and 12.15pm who may have camera footage to make it available.
