Gardai appeal for witnesses to fatal collision on South Circular Road

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision this morning – November 1 – at approximately 9:00am on the South Circular Road, in which a cyclist lost his life.

The collision involved a cyclist and a lorry, at the junction of South Circular Road and Bulfin Road. The male cyclist – whose age is currently unknown – was fatally injured, and his body remains at the scene.

The lorry driver was uninjured in the collision.

The scene is currently preserved for the arrival of the Garda forensic collision investigators to carry out their examination. The road is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any motorists who may have been on the South Circular Road between 8:45am – 9:15am who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
