A new Garda Clinic has been opened in Adamstown, Lucan, writes Rachel Cunningham.

From the January 10, 2024, Lucan gardaí are inviting residents to the Adamstown Youth and Community Centre every Wednesday for consultations and support.

“The opening of the new local Adamstown Garda Clinic is about bringing essential services closer to the local people and establishing a safe space for community support and engagement,” said Emer Higgins, local TD for Dublin Mid West.

“The clinic will run weekly from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and is designed to be an accessible point of contact for the people of Lucan to meet with their local gardaí and discuss any issues or concerns they may have.”

“The launch of Lucan’s Garda Clinic is a pivotal development for community safety. It represents local Gardaí commitment to peace and public order,” added Caroline Brady, Fine Gael County Councillor candidate.

“I urge the community to actively engage with the Gardaí to make sure Lucan remains a safe place to call home.”
