[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]A woman has been charged with murder of a man in Foxrock.

The body of 27-year-old Limbani Mzoma was found at a house on Tudor Lawns last Thursday night.

It has been reported that he sustained a number of knife wounds which it is understood amounted to mutilation.

50-year-old Grace Miano, with the same address in Foxrock, appeared at a special sitting of Dublin District Court on Sunday morning.

The court granted an application from her solicitor that she should undergo a psychiatric assessment.

No application for bail was made. Ms Miano has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Dun Laoghaire District Court on Friday.

Local Councillor Lettie Mc Carthy (LAB) said she was “deeply saddened to hear of the untimely death of Limbani Mzoma.”

“I join in the local community’s shock by the gruesome killing and untimely death of this young man.

“His violent death is a terrible tragedy and I wish to offer my sincere condolences to those who knew him.”

Cllr Mc Carthy is encouraging the public to respect the privacy of the local residents and to contact Gardai if anyone has any information on the incident.

“The local community is obviously shocked at some of the details that have emerged, and nobody would expect such a thing to happen in their neighbourhood, or anywhere else for that matter.

“It’s important to remember now that somebody has died, that an individual has been charged and that as this matter is now before the courts, that the privacy of local residents should be respected.

“I would encourage anyone with further information, or who may have seen anything unusual to contact Cabinteely Garda Station on 01-6665400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”

The Tudor Lawns Residents Association have left flowers and a note of condolence in the estate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
