Sister Shed

The Sister Shed is a relatively new organisation in the area which reaches out to women of all ages in a social and supporting manner.

Their activities are contingent on member subscriptions and donations. Their goal is women supporting women.

While, Finglas Credit Union has a principal aim of facilitating financial inclusion for all members working and living within its common bond of the greater Finglas catchment area. A key aim of the Credit Union is to ensure everyone within Finglas has access to financial services.

In particular, as the finances of up to 85% of family households are managed by women, the Credit Union was delighted with the opportunity in supporting such a co-operative and self-help group.

Brenda Mulroy, Chairperson of Finglas Morning Sister Shed thanked Finglas Credit Union for their generous donation.

Stating that the donation will go towards an upcoming personal development course that otherwise would not have been possible, without the Credit Union’s help.

They meet every Friday morning in Finglas Resource Centre 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
