Knowledge Transfer Ireland will host a seminar this Thursday that aims to give local companies and researchers an overview of European Union rules relating to State aid and how it might impact them when working together.
KTI is the national office that facilitates links between publicly-funded research and businesses, helping to make the process of engagement simple and more straightforward for all involved.
An expert briefing will take place on the day to help attendees ensure that they understand and operate within State Aid guidelines.
In addition, KTI’s new publication “Practical Guide to State Aid Considerations in Research, Development & Innovation for RPOs and Industry” will be available for those in attendance.
The guide focuses on areas that need to be considered when a company and public research organisation plan to work together.
Alison Campbell, Director of KTI said: “State aid can often seem daunting and we’ve been asked by companies and research organisations if we could help make the topic more accessible.
“It’s on foot of that interest that we have produced the new KTI Practical Guide and organised the seminar. The purpose of the Guide and this seminar is to help people understand the rules, the risks and the ways to mitigate them.”
The event will take place on September 19 in the Radisson Blu, Golden Lane, with registration at 7:30am.
