International parking garage operator, Q-Park announce a partnership with Brite Mobility to offer E-Bikes and E-Moped hire at their city centre car parks.
This new hire service will initially be rolled out at Q-Park St Stephen’s Green, Q-Park The Spire in Dublin, and Q-Park Eyre Square in Galway.
Q-Park are a major player in managing parking garages across Europe. The aim is to develop parking facilities into vital instruments to help realise urban accessibility, sustainability, and liveability. In addition to car parking, Q-Park are also aiming to provide access for shared mobility schemes, electric vehicle charging, last mile delivery, and retail space all within their safe and secure parking facilities. As part of this partnership, Brite Mobility will have three new safe and secure locations to hire E-Bikes and E-Mopeds from in the centre of both Dublin and Galway with other locations to follow.
Brite Mobility was spun out of Motorpark Group, one of Ireland’s largest car dealer groups in 2019. Brite offers zero-carbon shared E-Bikes and E-Mopeds to local authorities, businesses, and delivery services across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and are now moving to offer their short-term hire service to Q-Park customers. The challenge for Brite was finding locations in the heart of Ireland’s largest cities, where they could rent from, but working with Q-Park has helped the business realise its potential to solve urban mobility challenges.
To use the service, Brite Mobility customers can download the Brite app and view available bikes or mopeds from their phone. E-bikes have a range of 50kms at full charge and mopeds have a range of 100kms. For after-hours access to the carparks, Brite customers receive a unique QR code which can be used to access the car park on foot when they arrive. Brite users are now able to pick up an e-bike from Q-Park Stephen’s Green and drop it at Q-Park The Spire to end their ride. The network of Brite Q-Park pick up and drop off locations will develop as new car park sites come on line with Brite.
Colin Barry, founder of Brite Mobility said: “We are really excited to work with Q-Park to expand our offering around Ireland. Alastair and his team’s approach to working with mobility partners like ourselves has been a breath of fresh air. We hope that many Q-Park customers will avail of our amazing launch offer of a free one-hour ride by submitting your in-date parking ticket in Brite’s app chat support. Our introductory €5 per hour E-bike rental price is also super competitive. Our premium electric mopeds will be priced a little higher at €15 per hour but you are paying for the luxury of super speed and a nice comfy seat. No pedalling here.”
