Gardai have warned that commuters may face traffic jams in the city for a short while as a technical fault has led to the East Link Bridge getting stuck upright.
In images online, the bridge has been shown to be stuck in an ‘open’ position, and is currently unable to come down. There are understood to be knock on delays to the Port Tunnel Southbound as a result, with the tunnel currently closed.

Some people saw the opportunity to make a joke about the incident, with Dublin Fire Brigade replying to Gardai saying that the open bridge seemed more of a ‘challenge’ than an issue.
