The fortieth anniversary Dublin Pride Parade will be hosted in Dublin within the hour!
The parade is scheduled to start at 12 noon today, Saturday June 24 starting on O’Connell Street and making its way to Merrion Square.
You don’t have to register for the parade, says organisers Dublin LGBTQ+Pride.

“You can just turn up today and join in the march. Remember, this is a march and a parade. We should always celebrate who we are and the hard-fought achievements we have made, but there is still a long way to go, and protest will always be at the heart of pride.”
An Garda Síochana remind that road closures and traffic diversions will be effect, so make sure you check out your traffic route if you’re planning on coming into the city during the next few hours.
“For us, Pride is about supporting people to feel accepted, equal, supported and safe in the community,” said An Garda Síochana on its social media platforms.

“We are proud of our off-duty colleagues that will take part in Dublin LGBTQ Pride on Saturday, and want all attendees to know that Gardaí will be on-duty across the city throughout the weekend.
“Please do not hesitate to stop any one of us for assistance – we are always here to help and in emergency call 999/112. Most of all, we hope that everyone has a safe and happy time with friends, family and allies. “
Registered groups can collect their wristbands from Pride Hub, 44 Clarendon Street.
