The midweek Lotto draw saw two players share the €7,734,054 jackpot on offer to become the 10th and 11th Lotto jackpot winners of 2023!

The celebrations kicked off yesterday morning at Applegreen on the Naul Road in Balbriggan with staff and customers delighted to hear the news.

On hand to celebrate the news, Ashley Folder, Applegreen Regional Manager said This is amazing news for the local area and of course, a very lucky customer! There is always a great buzz in the store here but the excitement has been through the roof since we heard the great news and it is the main topic of conversation with everyone. We are thrilled that an Applegreen customer is one of the lucky winners and we wish the winner the very best with their win!”

The Spar store at 13 South Circular Road in Dublin 8 was revealed as the City Centre location that saw a customer win their share of the life-changing amount.

Shop owner Paddy Morris was thrilled to get the call from the National Lottery to say that one of his customers had become a Lotto jackpot winner.

“In all my 22 years of owning the shop, this is my first ever jackpot win so it’s very exciting. We’re based in a busy residential area with lots of locals customers so it’s absolutely brilliant news for the area. As soon as word gets out, I’m sure there will be great excitement around the community. What a night to have our first jackpot win as well – a big night for Dublin Lotto players!”

The National Lottery has confirmed that both players have come forward and arrangements are now being made for the two newest Lotto jackpot winners to claim their staggering prizes.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago. In 2022 alone, €259 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
