Draíocht Blanchardstown is delighted to continue ‘Light Up’, an artist led, community engagement project, in partnership with Fingal County Council, writes Rose Barrett.
It sees Draíocht commission artists to create a series of images that will be projected onto our building over the darker months of 2021/2022.
Coming up is Niamh Flanagan – Dark Skies Winter Lights, Light Up which will be transferred onto Draíocht Blanchardstown via the Building Projection Commissions 2021, to run from December last up to Sunday (Jan 30, 2022)
Draíocht Outdoors: “For the Light Up Project I have created two etchings depicting snow-capped peaks that will loom large in the evenings outside Draíocht creating an otherworld for viewers to contemplate. The works will explore ideas of escape, adventure and both the futility and importance of impossible dreams,” said Niamh Flanagan.
Do stop and admire Niamh’s work over the month of January!
