Fingal County Council advise that the beach car park in Donabate will be closed today, Tuesday 19 and tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20.
This is due to the filming of Season 2 of the hilarious comedy ‘Bad Sisters’ in the Donabate area as the car park is currently being used for location purposes by the production company. As a result, the car park will be closed for public use on Wednesday and Thursday this wee. FCC regret any inconvenience caused.
However, the arrangements for the anticipated closures of Donabate Car Park on two days this week have changed as a result of an unforeseen change to the filming schedule for ‘Bad Sisters’
The Unit Base and Tech Trucks will be located in the car-park this for the duration of today, Tuesday and Wednesday, while filming takes place locally.
Filming will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at a number of locations including the beach and in Donabate Village Unlike the previous notice, there will be some parking, although limited, in the car-park during this period. Any inconvenience to members of the public is regretted

Bad Sisters Series 1 was a wickedly funny, brilliantly written with great acting and directing and of course, some very underlying serious family and emotional themes. A black comedy but plenty of laughter!
Filming has also been taking place in the Rush and Howth area and this has presented and amazing opportunity to showcase the beauty of Fingal and the North Dublin coastline to an international audience in this award winning internationally acclaimed production.
