Well done to the quick work of Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) who were called to attend a fire at the underground car park of the Ballymun Travelodge yesterday circa 1.30pm.
Located on the Shangan Road, loud explosions had been reported and hotel residents were quickly evacuated.
Gardai asked neighbouring residents to keep their windows and doors closed to avoid inhaling toxic fumes.
Emergency services including Dublin Fire Brigade along with gardaí and ambulances attended quickly.
DFB reported that five fire units, three Ambulances, one Emergency tender along with a District Officer and Senior Officer responded and the fire was declared under control 50 minutes after the initial call was made
No serious injuries were reported after the car fire was contained but several cars were damaged.
