A very special evening was hosted by Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Deirdre Heney for Dublin City Council employees who are caregivers to their loved ones.
The Dementia Carers Evening took place in the Mansion House last with Dementia-inclusive ‘The Forget-Me-Nots’ choir joined by Mike Hanrahan, lead singer with Stockton’s Wing and interactive ‘scarf dance’ choreographer Olwyn Lyons.

A panel discussion about being a caregiver was moderated by Karen Meenan, Global Brain Health Institute, Trinity College – panelists included Kate Byrne, Patient Public Involvement panel in Dementia Trials Ireland and former Minister, Nora Owen. Cllr Deirdre Heney and Mike Hanrahan also joined this panel discussion.
