The lead up to Christmas is not the best time for a delivery driver to have his van stolen but that’s what has happened to Abraham Shodiva, a well known DPD driver on the North side. His van was stolen recently from Grove Park in Finglas.

As such, Cian O’Leary has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise monies to replace Abraham’s loss. The Finglas community and beyond have been amazingly generous to date with over €16,000 gathered to date.

“Abraham is the local DPD driver in our area and unfortunately his van was stolen from Grove Park,” said Cian.

“He is always such a pleasant person to deal with, he knows everyone by name and always has a smile.”

Cian continued and noted it broke the community’s heart to think he will be out of work and out of pocket during such a hard time for most families.

“Currently he has not got his van back; as he works for himself, this would also be a huge expense.

“If you could donate anything to help his situation it would amazing, it would be of a great help. Thanks in advance for any donations.”

Finglas Talks on FB also endorsed the fundraiser and asked: “If you can donate, great, if not can you share the link to other people of the community.”
